INES has signed a new international contract, with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Fiji. Over the next 12 months, we will lead a consultancy project in order to improve the climate resilience of the country’s rural infrastructure.
The objective is to support AIIB’s technical advice to the Government of Fiji to strengthen the climate resilience of its rural infrastructure. We will conduct a detailed diagnosis of the conditions of rural roads and water and sanitation systems to identify key vulnerabilities and estimate risk. In addition, we will develop proposals for adaptation measures and a comprehensive investment plan, which will be presented and agreed with key stakeholders.
With this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to provide innovative and sustainable technical solutions to the challenges of climate change.
